Rosa & Yolly's Energetic, Colourful & Emotional Wedding

Sometimes I take stock of what I do as my career and feel truly privileged and when Rosa & Yolly got married I felt it so entirely.

They both got in touch half way through their planning process when they decided that they needed some help with their wedding- daily life was busy and a really shitty beginning to the year (to put it mildly) meant they were behind with their planning. I know they won't mind me saying that they are not the most decisive of couples and so it was with tentative steps at first choosing décor and suppliers and timeline decisions, but soon followed by great strides towards the end. The journey however was great fun, we had skype calls regularly and planning sessions that turned into chats about dogs and house renovations and by the time the wedding day arrived I think I was as excited as I've ever been to be witnessing this pair say their vows and share their day. And my gosh it was emotional, and beautiful and fantastic.

With regards to styling Rosa and Yolly were clear in the colour and atmosphere, and we managed to pull together some beautiful coloured glass vases which were filled by Cottage Garden Flowers, and cut glass candle holders for bright colourful tapered candles.

We had a MASSIVE festival-esque order of the day sign in bright poppy colours which I hand painted- I love doing these!

And we also created a bright and very colourful backdrop for Made You Look's photobooth- first time I'd done this and I thought it looked amazing (if I do say so myself)

Myself and my wonderful colleague Fern worked our little socks off- putting up gazebos, stringing about reems of ribbon, helping the waiters (there was a man down), and setting out the evening cheese. And all the little in between parts such as making sure the music plays at the right time, handing out confetti, and announcing the couple as they entered the ballroom. The day, I think went swimmingly- only slightly hampered by the British weather, but Walcot ensured the inside was as comfortable as the outside in such a smooth and quick turnaround.

It was definitely one of the most original and definitely one of the most emotional/energetic/gorgeous weddings I've ever been at and I wish them all the love and happiness that two people can ever have.
